SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Quaker Chemical said Monday that it has acquired the 40 percent stake in its Brazilian joint venture owned by its minority partner. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Conshohocken, Pa.-based chemical company said it formed the joint venture in 1998 when it acquired Siderquimica Ltd. Quaker said that it expects the transaction to add to 2005 earnings.
