McDonald's same-store Oct. sales rose 8.2% globally
(Mon, 10 Nov 2008 08:09:28 -0500)NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- McDonald's Corp. said Monday its global same-store sales in October rose 8.2%, citing strong growth in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. In the U.S., sales at restaurants open at least 13 months grew 5.3% during the month. In Europe, demand in the U.K., France and Russia drove comparable sales up 9.8%. While in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and Africa, same-store sales were up 11.5% for October.
